Dr. Perelló is a cardiovascular surgeon with 13+ years of specialized experience across the full spectrum of cardiac and vascular surgery. He completed his cardiovascular surgery residency at Hospital Felício Rocho in Brazil — one of Latin America's leading cardiac centres — where he participated in over 1,200 procedures and performed more than 200 surgeries as lead surgeon. He contributes to approximately 170 cardiac surgeries annually, with deep expertise in complex aortic pathologies, valve reconstruction, and minimally invasive structural heart procedures, and has participated in heart transplant programs and ECMO technologies.
Dr. James is a cardiothoracic surgeon specializing in both adult and pediatric cardiac surgery, with 1,450 documented cases across the full spectrum of cardiothoracic procedures. Currently serving as Coordinator of the Cardiovascular Department at INCAE and attending surgeon at CEDIMAT, he brings exceptional breadth of experience — from complex valve surgery and myocardial revascularization to congenital heart disease and ECMO. He completed an advanced ECMO simulation course at Le Pitié de Paris in 2025 and is accepted for an observer rotation at Mount Sinai Hospital with Dr. Ismail El-Hamamsy.
Dr. Villar Perez is a pediatric cardiovascular surgeon with advanced fellowship training at CEDIMAT — the Dominican Republic's premier cardiac centre — where she has specialized in congenital and acquired pediatric heart conditions since 2021. She holds a Master's Degree in Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery from PUCMM/CEDIMAT and brings extensive experience in complex pediatric cardiac surgery. A two-time recipient of the National Health Research Award (2022 & 2023), she has presented at international conferences including STS/EACTS and SODOCARDIO.
